1950’s - 1960’s Murano Art Glass ashtray or trinket catch all, by Murano glass artist Flavio Poli. This art piece is highly collectible. Condition is nearly perfect. This piece in in excellent vintage condition. Minor wear shoes at the base and there are only two tiny fleabites (amazing for being 60-70 years old!). Please see the photos at the end where I have circled them. Besides these two minor imperfections the piece is perfect, all edges smooth as silk… it catches the light wonderfully. The optics are stunning. An eye catcher and a conversation piece. The color of this lovely piece of art glass is actually a amethyst/deep plum with a citrine band then clear crystal. Unfortunately the colors don’t translate well in photos. The purple looks more brownish than it really is. Heavy piece.
